Twinmotion - Frequently Asked Questions

Here you’ll find a list of the most commonly asked questions regarding Twinmotion and its use. If you have a question that is not answered here we’d be happy to help answer it, just contact us.

How do I download the latest version of Twinmotion?

You can download the update from the Epic Games launcher by clicking on the pink “Update” button. If you don’t see the update button, log out completely from the launcher and log in again.

Some may have the “auto-updated” option activated on the launcher, in this case, Twinmotion updated automatically without you knowing it.

Can I purchase a bundle of Rhino & Twinmotion?

Can I access a trial version of Twinmotion?

Yes, people can download it for free and it works just like the full version, but the output is limited to 2k resolution and commercial work is not permitted. Use link below:

Is Twinmotion a Standalone or Networked / Floating License?

Twinmotion is a standalone perpetual license only.

Does Twinmotion require a constant internet connection?

No, Twinmotion is installed locally and does not require an internet connection.

To which products does Twinmotion have direct links?

ArchiCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, Revit & RIKCAD.

Which VR headsets are supported by Twinmotion?

Here’s a list of tested headsets:
Oculus Rift S;
Oculus Quest 1;
Oculus Quest 2;
HTC Vive Pro;
HTC Vive Cosmos;
Windows MR.

Can I install a single license Twinmotion on more than one machine?

Installing on multiple machines is all fine.  Of course, you should respect the EULA and only use it on one machine at any time.

I have purchased 2 x Twinmotion Licenses, can I activate them under the same account?

Each Twinmotion user must have a unique email address and Epic account.

What Materials / 3D Objects come supplied with Twinmotion?

Inside Twinmoton there is a Library which also holds the Megascans 3D Assets and Materials, together they total up to:

  • Objects / People Library of 3750 approx.
  • Materials Library of 7000 approx.
  • This Megascans Library keeps growing as new assets are added during each release cycle of Twinmotion
